Artificial Gravity:
A Simulation
How it works
-
Use the input field and sliders to adjust the mass (in kg), station radius (in meters), and angular velocity (in rad/s). These controls let you change the conditions of the rotating station.
-
The simulator computes the artificial gravity using the formula g = ω² × radius and then calculates the weight on the scale by multiplying the mass by this gravity.

About
According to NASA, "a gravity assist is the use of the relative movement and gravity of a planet or other celestial body to alter the path and speed of a spacecraft" (NASA, 2015).
This simulation allows you to explore how varying the initial speed of a spacecraft affects its interaction with the Moon’s gravity. By adjusting the velocity and observing how the spacecraft’s trajectory changes, you can gain insight into the physics behind efficient interplanetary travel.
